Greetings from the owners of Twin Oaks Plantation Inn

Selecting a B&B in Jefferson is difficult because all of the places are wonderful.  Our inn is 1 ˝ miles outside the hustle-and-bustle of town.  One would select our country inn as a quiet, romantic get-away. The only outdoor noises you’ll hear are the birds chirping. Yet, it is a very short trip into Jefferson for shopping, dinner or sightseeing. 

Our names are Tom and Tammy Ennis and we own Twin Oaks Plantation Inn.  Tammy is a native Texas and Tom is from the East Coast.  We met in Las Vegas.  Love at first sight does happen and we were soon married.  In a matter of moments, both of our lives changed forever.  We now have a family of three children, two sons and one daughter.

We have lived in California for the past several years.  Tom is in the movie/entertainment business and Tammy recently began teaching at Trinity Episcopal School in Marshall.  Prior to our move, Tammy taught move-star children in an affluent private school in Calabasas, CA, and Tom was on the faculty at Michigan State University.

One evening on the internet, Twin Oaks Plantation was discovered.  Another example of how one’s life can change in a matter of moments.  We made an offer, site unseen, and before we knew it we were the new owners. We still feel as though we are living a dream come true. Although it is a beautiful home, for the next few years we will be redecorating & remodeling.

Our goal for Twin Oaks Plantation Inn is to create a haven for people who enjoy staying in small inns & historical mansions. We love the hospitality business!
